New in // Pearl necklace

De kloge siger at perler is the new black….

  • Hi Christine,
I am sorry to contact you through your blog, but I haven’t been able to get a hold of your email and I guess desperate times call for desperate measures.

I am Project manager of a BSc. International Business Union event called “IB Careers” that I am arranging together with a team of 4 current IB students, in which we are inviting 3-4 IB alumni to come and give a talk about their career after finishing IB. This event has been arranged in previous years, and has been very successful in creating awareness about the opportunities that IB students have when finishing their bachelor degree. As IB is very broad, students may not be aware of the many opportunities and pathways they can take, and would therefore be grateful to hear the stories from a range of IB alumni.

We have found your profile and career very interesting, because your career path after finishing IB has involved both working and progressing within a large global corporation as well as personal projects e.g. Looklab. We would love to have you represent IB alumni that did not choose to go the consulting/finance way. Additionally, you have been living in both Los Angeles and Stockholm which speaks to the internationally minded students that will listen to you speak.

Some points we would like to hear about are:
    • why you chose IB
    • a timeline/short description of your education and career
    • how you chose your master program
    • experiences with studying abroad or taking internships (how important is the chosen university and so on)
    • how important are grades on the bachelor
    • any experiences with student organizations during IB or during your master

Note that these are just guidelines, and you are welcome to design your presentation yourself, and choose what is relevant for you. We would like you to prepare a talk for 20-25 minutes, and you are welcome to prepare a PowerPoint/Prezi.

This event will take place on May 15th, and will start at 17:45, but we would like you to be there 17:20 at Solbjerg Plads, CBS. We expect the event to last approximately 2 hours. Following the event there will be a networking session with tapas and wine, which we would be very happy for you to attend.

Please let us know if you are interested in representing the IB alumni network at this event, and let me know if you have any questions. On behalf of all of BSc. International Business, we would be delighted to hear you speak!

    Kind regards,

    Louise Nexø Jespersen
